Market Your Self

I have been asked recently on how to market a new company.  A friend of mine is thinking of starting their own errand service but isn't sure how to promote the company to attract clients.  So here is few simple basic ideas to answer those questions.
1.) Your Friends and Family are a great score of free advertising.
2.) Sticky magnets that you can attack business cards to, and put on mailboxes in neighbors you want to promote your business in.
3.) Car signs, these magnets can be put on either side of your car and as you go about driving around town to are advertising your business.
4.) Other small companies, if you are an errand service ask to leave fliers inn dry cleaners, flower shops, etc and then in return promote those places of business to your clients.

Okay how is I can rally the troops at work yet can't get my kids to clean up after themselves?  I admit to being so tired when I get home from work i really don't want to clean, do laundry, cook, yet as mom these are duties awaiting me.  Oh well time to run and get all those duties conquered for the evening.

Dazed and Confused!

Okay everyone I am sitting here scratching my head in confusion!  Seems to me that I am seeing a lot of entry level jobs post lately that require 2 to 5 years experience.  Now if my understanding of "entry level" is correct (I have been known to be wrong from time to time) but isn't that a job level where experience is needed is 0 to 2 years?  I mean seriously people, how are you suppose to break into a career if you have to have experience.  Which furthers my confusion on how a recent college graduate is going to get a job.  As a recent college graduate myself and a mother of a college freshman I can't help but feel this is an oxymoron/catch 22 situation.  You can't get job without a degree however you still can't get a job without experience?!?  I realize the job market is tough but this seems to be bullying corporate style.
